The 90-day cholesterol challenge
Your doctor said your cholesterol is too high. Now what?
I lowered my LDL by 31% in 90 days without medication.
Here's the exact system I used.
My story
“What the fuck, is this actually going to kill me?”
So my dad has been on statins for like 40 years. His parents died quite young from cardiovascular disease. His brother had a stroke and died too. There's a lot of hereditary stuff in my family but I never really thought about it. I was just living my life, eating whatever I wanted, drinking, having fun. You know how it is.
I'm 36 now. I did a cholesterol test and it came back quite a bit too high. Then I also did an Lp(a) test, which is the genetic component, and that was high too.
My wife is a doctor. She looked at my results and basically said: “This is actually pretty bad. If you keep this up without going on statins, you have a real problem on your hands. You might have a cardiovascular event, like a stroke or heart attack, sooner rather than later.”
That scared the shit out of me. I mean, really. Before that I wasn't worried about it at all, even with my dad's history. I just didn't think it was that urgent. “It's not going to happen to me,” right? But when you get older and you start thinking about kids and wanting to actually be there for them... you start taking it more seriously.
We looked up this cardiovascular risk calculator online. You fill in all your parameters and it spits out a percentage. For me it said something like a 40% chance of a cardiovascular event by 65. I was like: what the fuck, is this actually going to kill me?
Taking action
So I started researching online and I found a lot of kind of conflicting stuff. I was confused, didn't really know what to do. So I asked AI to help me put together a plan and then I just said: OK, I'm going to build a program for myself and just stick with it. And that's exactly what I did. It took about a week to set up. I bought all the stuff and just slowly started changing things.
I had a lot of fuck-ups along the way. Went back to old habits multiple times. But I kept telling myself: I really need to stick with this, because otherwise I can just keep living like this, right? And that's not an option anymore.
Ok too much information..
At first I didn't really notice a lot of change. I was also weighing myself every few days and then I kind of slowly started noticing things. It was so cool. I was really feeling like I was becoming a better version of myself. I went from 94kg down to 87.1kg and oh man, that felt so good.
Some funny effects you start noticing:
- •Your pants suddenly fit better
- •You're not all the time thinking about your gut and breathing in to make it look smaller
- •You start seeing the actual muscles, even a bit of abs
- •My wedding ring, which was a bit tight, suddenly became loose. I didn't even know fingers had fat on them, but apparently that's a thing
- •My resting heart rate dropped noticeably. I bought a heart rate monitor and started checking it regularly. Watching it go down week by week was really cool. That's my heart literally becoming more efficient
I started gaining quite a lot of confidence. I looked better in the mirror. I felt better. Way more energy. I mean over three months you can actually achieve so much if you put your mind to it.
The setback
Two weeks before the end I had this kind of weekend with family. It was Easter. I had a drink, then chocolate, then so much more chocolate, and just bad food in general. After the weekend it was really hard to get back on track for a few days. I just kept eating and buying sweets. I felt really shit.
I thought: OK it's like a week until my final blood test and it's just going to be the same as before I started. Nothing is going to have changed.
One way or another I got back on track. Started taking the fiber again. Kind of felt all right. Did the blood test. Honestly not expecting much.
The results
It was absolutely mind-blowing. My wife sent me a text with the results with like five 🤯 emojis because she was so impressed. She's a doctor and she thought it was kind of almost impossible to change it that much in three months.
Everything just improved massively. Good cholesterol across the board. There's not even bad cholesterol in there anymore. Before this, my wife said yeah for sure you're going to have to go on statins. Now? It looks very, very promising that I might have avoided them entirely.
Why I'm sharing this
So I packed everything I could find into the program. Everything I learned, so many tips and tricks, everything from these 90 days. It was hard-fought experience. It was not easy to learn all this stuff and I think it can be really beneficial for you too.
I also truly believe that if you find something that can make your life better, you should share it with other people. I really believe this can help people live longer, happier and healthier. That's why I built it into a proper program instead of just keeping it for myself.
Of course these days you can find a lot of information through AI, through ChatGPT. But I really believe this gamified thing, the structure, the accountability, the tracking of your weight and your streaks... that's what actually worked wonders for me. It's what kept me going on the days I wanted to quit.
So yeah, give it a go, I would say. 90 days is nothing compared to the rest of your life.

The reality
High cholesterol is the #1 killer worldwide. And you can't feel it.
There are no symptoms. No warning signs. No pain. It silently builds plaque in your arteries for years, and for many people, the first "symptom" is a heart attack or stroke.
17.9 million people die from cardiovascular disease every year. More than all cancers combined. And the main driver? Elevated LDL cholesterol, sustained over time.
The good news? It's reversible. Especially in early stages. Every point of LDL you lower reduces your risk. And you can start today.
Sound familiar?
You've Googled "how to lower cholesterol" and got 50 different answers
You tried "eating healthier" but you're not sure if it's actually working
You don't know which supplements actually help and which are a waste of money
You're overwhelmed by the science
You want a clear plan, not a list of vague advice
You've tried before but gave up after a few days because there was no structure or accountability
You want to prove to your doctor that you can do this without medication
The solution
A structured, daily system that tells you exactly what to do
Cholesterol90 breaks down the most effective, evidence-based interventions into small daily actions you can actually do. No guesswork. No information overload. Just open the app, see today's quests, and do them.
The program is built on the same research that cardiologists use. The same dietary patterns that clinical trials have shown can rival low-dose medication. We just turned it into something you can actually follow.
Not your uncle's advice about avoiding eggs, not the stuff from the 90s about fat being evil. A lot of what people think they know about cholesterol is outdated or just flat out wrong. We went through the actual meta-analyses and randomized controlled trials to find what genuinely moves the numbers.
